Phin Update: Phin has a MASSIVE infection in his middle ear. His eardrum has ruptured which actually is making him feel better. They have cleaned out his ear canal as best they can for the time being, increased his steroids again, and started him on a 4-6 week course of antibiotics. Follow up on Thursday at which point they may need to put him under to finish cleaning out the ear canal. But, the good news is they no longer think its Vestibular Disease. The symptoms were caused by the infection. I just hope that the meds kill off whatever is growing in there and that we dont have to go through an ear-drum rupture every couple of months when the pressure gets too great. My poor little guy!! However, he has eaten, his little nose is wet again and he has wagged his tail at me. All good signs. Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes and positive juju!!! Keep em coming and lets hope he heals up finally and for good!!!
