Phineas, the yellow lab sentenced to death for biting a seven-year-old girl, was stolen from the Dent County Vet Clinic. In June 2012 Phineas was seized by the city for biting, and Mayor Gary Brown determined the dog should be destroyed. Patrick Sanders went to the court system to seek a relief from judgment for his family pet. The 42nd Circuit Court upheld the city’s decision to have the dog destroyed. That decision is now under appeal in the Southern Appellate district, with Thursdays scheduled relief from judgment in progress in the original court. Why was this dog stolen days before thursdays hearing? And why is everyone refusing to investigate? Weird..
