Phoenix Childrens Hospital: The undersigned have grave concerns - TopicsExpress

Phoenix Childrens Hospital: The undersigned have grave concerns and outrage regarding your facilitys treatment and involvement with the medical procedures of Kayla and Hannah Diegel. It has resulted in these young children being removed and denied access from their parents, and put under states care where their medical and emotional needs are being seriously compromised and threatened. We are outraged by this familys plight and the rights that are being denied them from Constitutional/Parental and many other civil rights being trampled to denial of medical choice, access and advocacy. The Diegels continue to be denied a second opinion, and it is also a well known fact that once children are put into states care that they can be subjected to riskier medical procedures than when in the custody of the parents, and without parental consent. We are all familiar with the Justina Pelletier case, and that a bill named after her, JUSTINAs LAW, has been sponsored to stop just this sort of abuse and malpractice. You would be wise to take head of what has happened since the public has become aware of since you took the Diegel children just months after Justina was taken from her parents, and under similar pretenses. It goes to the heart of what hospitals have been doing and getting away with, and what Justinas case has shown to the world, and IT MUST STOP. Youve taken them off of their feeding tubes, the tubes your own specialists prescribed and ordered to be surgically implanted to enable each of them to absorb nutrition as their stomachs no longer functioned properly. The nuclear scans in the parents possession ordered by the physicians offer proof that Kayla and Hannah each developed GI issues that required the feeding tubes yet under new orders from the same physician who originally ordered them they have been removed. The girls are both losing weight and Kaylas body fat content has reached levels that are considered extremely unsafe for a girl her age. In the parents care they were healthy and happy. In states care they dont give the appearance of being healthy in fact they look as if they are declining rather than improving health wise. The bruises on both of their bodies could be the result of physical abuse or could be the lack of the needed vitamin nutrients they need, whichever is the answer neither is acceptable. Can either result be in the best interest of the child? Are the doctors following the oath they took? We think not as not only are they suffering physically but there is also the emotional aspect to consider for they two young girls. It stands to reason that two children who were well cared for a loved who are taken suddenly without just cause are also suffering emotionally. The term medical abuse and or Munchausens is beginning to be utilized throughout this country within both doctors offices and hospitals which is more than troublesome its alarming. There are published reports which state Munchausens is a syndrome however the same studies show that out of one hundred thousand parents included in the study there were only two, yes two who were thought to have been affected. Yet the medical community is accusing parents of this much more often than this study suggests. One only has to read any of the hundreds of social media sites where there are parents who live in this country who have been accused of the same thing. Let us reassure you there are many more than the two that were found in the study. Are parents to be concerned and develop a fear of getting any type of medical care for their ill child? We would venture to say there is a definite need for concern now and in the future for any parent. Freedoms and rights are being abused by the medical community to the detriment of not only the family unit but also society as a whole. There are a number of us here who have watched and participated in the story of Justina Pelletier case, we fought for her just as we are fighting for the rights of the Diegel family. Weve also supported the Isaiah Rider case and fought for that familys rights. How many more of these cases are occurring in our country today? Wed venture to say there are more but through the methods used in most of these cases the families are put under gag orders. The three families mentioned above chose a different route to speak out, not only for their children but for the children that are at risk of becoming victims of the same circumstances. These parents are all heroes because they are not only paving the way while being under duress and intimidation practices but they do it with honor in standing up against the terrible injustices that have been inflicted upon them. We stand by all of them. In the name of Kayla and Hannah we ask you to honor the oaths you have taken and to discontinue the paths that youve taken regarding their care or lack of it. Immediately. FREE THE SISTERS. Sincerely,
