Phoenix area friends: Every week Rebecca scours the grocery ads and we make up a list to use to price match at Wal Mart for our food needs. We save a ton of dough and I figured why not share her hard work. Its going to be primarily produce. Heres this weeks list. The prices are good until Wednesday 1/8. Milk $1.99 Albertson’s Eggs 18 count $2.28 Quaker Cinnamon Life Cereal 18-18.7 $1.99 each Crunch Berries 18-18.7 $1.99 each Assorted Pork Chops any size package 1.88 lb. Sanderson Farms Whole Chicken .87c lb Bashas Strawberries 98 cents a lb. Sprouts Grapefruits 3 for $1 Eggplant 98 cents each Broccoli Crowns 98 cents/lb (regular broccoli is also on sale for 99 cents/lb.) Cauliflower 98/lb Italian Squash 98/lb Bananas 3 lbs 99 cents Food City Large Tomatoes 3 lbs 99 cents Cucumbers 4 for $1 Green Bell Peppers 3 for 99 cents White Onions 3 lbs 99cents Ranch Market Price Matching Tips: Keep the stuff your price matching separate in your cart from the stuff you arent. Take a look at the cashiers. Younger male cashiers are typically the best at quickly typing in the price match stuff. (Stereotypes can be a real time saver.) Put the stuff you arent price matching on the conveyor belt first. That way you have time to get it all on the belt before you have to start telling the cashier about the price match stuff. If somebody comes up behind me I let them know that Im pricing matching but it typically goes pretty fast. That way they dont stare holes in me while Im doing it. When shopping I put a checkmark next to the item once I find it. Then when I check out I scratch out the item after I let the cashier know about the price match making it easier to find the next thing.
