Phone rings while I am at Jean Coutu....approximate time 4:45pm Dad: Yeah, want to pick me up some heavy duty bandaids? Me: Ummmm, ok. What did you do? Dad: I cut my wrist. Me: (out loud, with a voice that always carries) How did you cut your wrist? Everyone in the aisle immediately stops and look at me... Dad: Cutting bread this morning. The knife slipped, but it has pretty much stopped bleeding now. Me: Dad, its been over 6 hours, what do you mean it has almost STOPPED bleeding. Shoppers seem to draw closer Dad: Well, I put some bandaids on it. Just make sure they are waterproof. Ok. Bye. and he hangs up. Thank goodness Newchasers decided to shut down today...otherwise I fear my picture would be all over Facebook and somehow word would get out that some man slit his wrists today and all the girl did was buy bandaids!!! PS...he did slice a vein, but it seems to be ok. PSS...his definition of a bandaid was a piece of paper towel and saran wrap....sigh.... #whendadmovesin
