Phone scams are nothing new but scammers have taken things up a notch lately. One of our very smart clients called us in a panic today after he received a scary, threatening call from someone claiming to be an IRS representative. The IRS isnt going to call you randomly. If there is an issue theyll send you something by mail and then you can call them to discuss it, generally with people who are decent and nice.
