Photo Contest for the 2015 Sanford Historic Trust Calendar Grab your camera and join a new photo contest to illustrate historic Sanford in a 2015 calendar sponsored by the Sanford Historic Trust. Twelve winning photos will be chosen for this first calendar printed by the nonprofit Trust. Photos must be black and white, and should represent Sanford’s historic homes, buildings and scenes. The winning photos will be framed by the Trust and displayed in October at the Gallery on First, 211 E. 1st St., Sanford. An opening reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. Winning photographers will have the opportunity to sell prints at the gallery during the month. Here are a few other things to keep in mind: Submission deadline is July 31, 2014. Each photographer may submit up to three photos. Email entries to [email protected] Include location or address of each photo. Horizontal images fit the calendar format better than vertical. Photos must be submitted electronically and be high resolution (at least 300 dpi on 8×10). The Orlando Camera Club is helping with the submission process, and the Trust Calendar Committee will select the winning photos. Winners will be notified by Aug. 31. Submitted images will remain the property of the photographers, but permission is granted to the Sanford Historic Trust to use them for the calendar and the Trust’s promotional purposes.
