Photo of the day – Uganda is blessed with many fantastic birds – and with over 1000 species recorded so far, it’s easy to understand why! The Great Blue Turaco is just one of the many special birds that occur here; and, at over 70 cm (2 ½ feet) in length, it is also the largest turaco in the world. Thanks to Jonathan Rossouw for this exceptional image of this big and beautiful bird, which he photographed near Kibale.
