Photographing the way you see the world vs. Photographing the way your favorite photographer sees the world. Have you ever thought about this? You can be influenced by a certain photographer or set of photographers and still photograph the world through your own eyes. However, what I continue to see are more and more copycats. People who are clearly attempting to recreate their favorite photographers iconic images. If I see one more photo of a high contrast b&w dog I might actually hurt someone. View the world through your own eyes and let that become the photo you present, stop giving us bad knockoffs of photographers many of us know and love. PS: I know some use this as a way to learn and thats fine, but if Ive been looking at your photos for 2-3 years and youre still doing the same shit, youre part of this group and need to learn to move on.
