"Photography Tip of The Day" WHEN shooting your DSLR Camera, Canon or Nikon, make sure your AUTOFOCUS is set to "Single Point Auto Focus" AT ALL TIMES. AF (Autofocus) does not mean you are an amateur, professionals shoot in AF 99% of the time as your camera can make lighting fast choices for you, but what I have noticed as I did today while giving private instruction was that most people have their cameras set to "AF Dynamic", or "AutoFocus Continuous"...there are multiple variations in term; however, when set to one of these, your camera is working like a SHOTGUN and basically picking focus from multiple points at a certain distance (or focal range) which can result in blurry images as what you wanted in focus was not what your camera selected. Instead you want to be more like a SNIPER.... ZOOM IN with your lens and FOCUS on a target specific element on your subject (The EYE is usually the best choice on people), hold down your shutter to maintain that locked focus point, and then zoom out to include whatever you desire in your "crop" and when ready Press The Shutter all the way. YOUR IMAGES SHOULD BE SHARP AND CLEAR ;) Blake Ryan Towsley Harlow + Crue Photography Studios Blake@HarlowandCrue HarlowandCrue
