At the moment we have 12 locations and are constantly expanding (as we look to open 3-4 stores a year for the next 5-6 years). Our stores consist of multiple departments which include but are not limited to the Front End, Bakery, Deli, Organics, Vitamin, Seafood, Receiving, Cheese, Meat, Kitchen, Coffee, Dairy and more. Job Description Fairway is actively looking to fill a Physical Plant position at our Stamford, Conn location. The candidate should have a history in Building Maintenance Managing! Inspect buildings and physical plant; conduct building space studies; inspect construction, projects, and contractor installations progress for conformance to standards and specifications. In addition, the ideal candidate will be familiar with building codes & safety codes. Experience in Electrical or at least basic Electrical is required. Additional duties include; changing outlets running 120V lines, knowledge of basic plumbing, and changing faucets. Also must have knowledge of how to properly and effectively handle flushometers, toilets, sweating cooper pipes & snaking out drains. Last but not least, knowledge of basic Carpentry is also required. Qualifications PHYSICAL DEMANDS: •Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
