Physical therapist worked on my left shoulder for 45 minutes yesterday morning and really took the pain away. I felt so much better after her workout. Now, heres the sad news. About 3 oclock yesterday afternoon, as I was walking across the kitchen, a terrific pain hit my mid-back (felt like someone hit me with a sledge hammer) and bent me over almost double. Ended up with Danny taking me to Mon Gen E.R.. Somehow I managed to fix dinner then Danny came out to take me to the hospital. Arrived there at 6:30 p.m. Diagnosis - compressed fracture in my back. Oh no, not again. Every time I move forward a little, seems as though something happens to take me backward a whole lot. Lots of pain, no driving, just feeling so useless right now. I had taken a little nap before this happened, and girls, be careful what you ask for, I think Gumby may have dropped in while I was napping and he is just too much for me to handle in my elderly state. Perhaps if I was (or is it were) younger???? Danny and I made it home shortly before midnight so thats kind of record time for an E.R. visit. We left the hospital around 10:30 and had to pick up some meds so we did far better than usual. Didnt have him to let Chad and Deb know since there was no reason for the whole gang to be there. After getting home and Danny left, Ben helped me get ready for and into the bed. Rough night, I lasted to 4 a.m. but was awake every little bit. Praying for a better day today. Not much can be done though, just hope the fracture heals quickly. Have a great day, I will probably be off and on here. Probably gonna be a long day.
