Physician is trying to prevent the broadcast of the second part of ABCs Catalyst program, which questions the link between cholesterol and heart disease. They are resisting pressure to shelve a program that questions the scientific evidence linking cholesterol to heart disease. Last week Catalyst described the notion that saturated fats and cholesterol caused heart attack as one of the biggest myths of medical history. The second part of the program dealing with anti-cholesterol medication called ‘statins’ is scheduled to air tomorrow and as Lisa reports, the ‘Heart Foundation’ and at least one leading physician feels its misguided.
