Physicist LAWRENCE KRAUSS provides a beautifully clear exposition of the recently announced discovery of primordial gravitational waves which emanated from the beginning of our universe. Once the results have been evaluated by the scientific community and shown to be corrrect (or otherwise), then look out for some Nobel prizes being awarded. Charles Darwin demonstrated that no God was needed for humans to exist, and now this discovery demonstrates that no God was needed for the creation of our universe. Could this be the beginning of a serious death knell for organised religion? Incidently, Manchester Museum of Science and Industry has a cracking display of photographs of the South Pole, including some of the research centre pictured above. Go see. Exciting times!
