Pi Nu Chapter at Northeastern Illinois University joined City Year Chicago for the MLK Day of Service. (Pi Nu is advised by Xi Nu Omega.) Hundreds of volunteers came together to beautify and transform two great schools in the Gage Park community: Gage Park High School and Rachel Carson Elementary School. Pi Nu assisted with creating a more welcoming and engaging learning environment for students through painting, construction, organization and human service projects. Pi Nu was painted the logo of Northeastern Illinois University to be displayed at Gage Park and took pictures with Governor Bruce Rauner and his wife Diana Rauner during the project.
