As soon as you turn the key, the Interceptor’s character morphs to show its other side; the muscle car. And make no mistake; this is the real deal – 330bhp from Chrysler’s 7.2-litre. It may not sound as brash as its American cousins, but the rumble of the big V8 has a definite Detroit accent. As an automotive personality it is slightly eccentric, superficially problematic, extrovert yet somehow restrained – and would suit an owner the same. White suits this powerful sporting Jensen with its shiny new bumpers and tan interior. The seller states that the car is in good condition all round and is ready to be driven away and used. The big Chrysler V8 engine runs superbly with no smoke and a sound to die for. The refurbished automatic gearbox changes smoothly. There appears to be no rust on the body and underneath it is neat and solid. It has been owned by several enthusiasts and the resulting document file is extensive and covers most of its 97k miles.
