Picked wild grapes over the last few days. John did most of the picking and stemmed the grapes. I stewed up the thick juice to make grape Jelly. There was enough left over that I will be making nectar so we can have grape juice this winter. *** I picked the little sage I got from the first year. Not enough to cook with, but I have enough if someone gets a real bad sore throat. I also got a bit of lemon verbena from a first year plant. ** in the next few days Ill dig up the calla lillies. The bees are inside now. Too cold for them. I also think I have 1 potato plant left. If so, Ill save the potatoes for Christmas dinner. * last thing to do is pull the last of the weeds out of the garden, and the plants that are dying off so the garden looks nice. The rose of sharon are done, the hibiscus gave me 1 last attempt at a flower. BUT THE STOKEs seed catalogue came in !!!! Time to get ready for next year.
