For most people, it’s a little early to be fussing over Christmas trees(pics), unless you’re competing for the right to supply the tree that will grace the Blue Room of the White House LOL I was on a mission for a scarecrow wood bucket to hold artificial ghourds for my Fall porch decorating(pics),Leo ended up purchasing it online(see last pic) Today I just wanted to mill around and not do much of anything.. just being totally present in the moment!! ... pure magic! It’s time to crack out the pumpkins, cider, and chrysanthemums. Bring on the costumes, candy & turkeys. It’s always a bit sad to see one season pass but personally I prefer the fall with its cooler temps (esp yesterday and today ) and fun festive events.So sad to see Summer leave (yeah i know ,she comes around every year). There’s still plenty of fun to be had with our new friend Fall ( Sept 22nd) As anyone who’s ever planned a fall trip knows, peak leaf color can be elusive.Betting on a burst of spectacular color is like plugging nickels into a slot machine. To win, all of the figures have to line up: the right number of warm days and cool nights, the right levels of sugar produced, the right amounts of moisture...Sure, winters can be rough here in wind-chill country. But why do we tough it out? For the big payoff of autumn, of course, with its crisp, sunny days and the luminous orange of the sugar maple, the scarlet of sumac and bronzed oak.They dont have that in Florida and Arizona.
