Pictures of the new puppies. We had a singleton litter and a 6 pup litter. The first time Ive ever had two litters in at once. The girls cycled together. Rosie had 1 girl and 5 boys. Tyra had 1 male pup. Since they were born only a few days, almost a week, apart I placed one of Rosies pups, the girl, in with Tyras singleton puppy. The purpose was so that Tyra would have more than one pup keeping demand for her milk up, and helping to drain her milk to prevent mastitis. Another purpose was so that the singleton pup would have a sibling to cuddle with and grow up and socialize with. I didnt want him to grow up without the benefit of a sibling. I dont think the little girl minds. She gets more milk than she knows what to do with and has her cuddly little brother to snuggle with.
