Pies are one of my favorite things in life. I love baking them, and especially eating them. One day a couple years ago, my dad called me out of the blue with a pie crust recipe he said I had to try. I was ecstatic with the results. I dont use any other pie crust any more. Here is the recipe; it is really easy to remember. I makes a large batch and freezes well. 4 cups flour 1 t salt 2 cups Crisco 1 cup 7-up Mix the flour and salt together. Cut in the shortening until well blended. Add 7-up and mix just until moist. Do not over mix at this point. Dough my seem a little too wet, but it absorbs the flour. I usually get 4 pies with this recipe. You can substitute part of the shortening with butter or lard if you like.
