Pinay in UAE assisting jailed women with babies >>>https://facebook/dear.heart.lyn?ref=stream With the help of a fellow Filipina, a worker in the United Arab Emirates who was jailed for having an illegitimate child has been released and is going home to the Philippines. Luzviminda Abad, who lost her job and was dumped by her boyfriend when she was five months pregnant, was jailed in 2010 for delivering a baby who was an illegitimate child. With a child and no money, she faced a long deportation process – were it not for Lola Lopez, founder of Volunteer in UAE who helped raise money for her ticket, Gulf News reported. “My job is to get these ladies or mums with infants and babies out of the country as fast as possible. Most times, they remain in custody even after serving their sentences or having been pardoned because they don’t have funds to fly back home," said Lopez, whose group raised the funds through social media campaigns on Facebook and Twitter. Abad and her two-year-old child returned home on an Emirates flight on July 26. “I just can’t thank Lola for her support and of course the sponsors of my ticket. Do convey my gratitude to all of them,” Luz said. Lopez said her group raises awareness about expectant mothers with babies. "People willing to help then contact me to contribute for flight tickets,” said Lopez, a British-born campaigner of Spanish origin. Earlier this week, five women, four with babies and one seven-month pregnant woman, returned home after being deported and facing permanent bans. — LBG, GMA News HEAD CREATOR~AQUA~
