Pineapple Secrets 1c. sugar 1/2t baking soda 2T corn starch 1t salt 1 #2can crushed pineapple(with juice) 1 3/4c flour 1 1/2c rolled oats 1c brown sugar 3/4c oleo FILLING: Combine sugar and cornstarch in small saucepan; add pineapple and juice. Cook over medium heat until thick; set aside. Combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and oats; cut in oleo until mixture is crumbly. Place half of crust mixture in a greased 9x13" pan; pat down firmly. Spread filling evenly on top; add remaining crust mixture and pat down as firmly as possible. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 mins. Cool; cut into bars. Makes about 20 bars.
