Piper and I went riding at the dam in N. Springfield with my friend Rae and her horse, Splash today.... There are miles of groomed riding trails there.....- To my absolute amazement, Piper is not afraid to plunge right in to the river and cross it. We loved it. Then we ended up at the water fall, which is a very beautiful & refreshing place... Finally, at the end of the trail, Piper was tuckered out, but not too bad. It is a seven mile ride. . . . She seemed to enjoy the whole thing, Splash too....with no drama. Just lots of laughs. The weather was perfect. This all makes me want to go camp out overnight before it gets too cold out. I wonder if there are places that take horses around here.
