Pirates Physiotherapist John Williams revealed on Saturday night that the injury sustained by midfielder Andile Jali in the match against Zamalek, is not serious. Williams explained that the hardworking midfielder only sustained a knock to his thigh, but “felt a severe pain and had to be substituted.” “It is not a groin injury… he got a hard knock to his thigh and he just could not carry on… “We will take the next three or four days to treat him and see how it goes. For now there is nothing to worry about – he does not have to go through scans and stuff –it might just be a bruise but it is nothing too serious,” explained Williams. Meanwhile, striker Collins Mbesuma continues to receive treatment on his injured ankle. The Zambian International will again this morning work with the club medical team, as they race against the clock to have the former African Champion fully recovered ahead of Saturdays’ MTN8 derby against Kaizer Chiefs.
