Both Pirates and United won their previous competitive games and Chenene says they are preparing well for the mighty Buccaneers who will be hoping to avenge their last season’s results. “This is absolutely going to be a tough battle. Pirates lost to SuperSport at home last season and they are certainly ready to upset us. However, we are preparing for the big match and [we] are cautious on that score,” said Chenene. Chenene has taken the pressure off SuperSport United by saying that they are taking it one game at a time, and that their goal is to get past the first hurdle. “SuperSport lost in the final last season, and we are taking one game at a time. However, our goal is to win the upcoming match and proceed to the next stage,” added Chenene. The former Moroka Swallows admits that Pirates will be motivated by their 3-0 win over Al Ahly in the Caf Champions League this past weekend. “Pirates beat one of the big teams [Al Ahly] on the African continent and this was a big motivation to the entire team. They won with a convincing margin and it was good for the nation,” concluded Chenene.
