Pissed is the most unsavory word I have ever used on Facebook, but thats exactly what I am! I did not have a chance to attend tonights City Board of Directors meeting. I got home just in time to see the vote to place a gas station, euphemistically called a convenience store, at the corner of 12th & University. How could you??? As hard as we are working to make our neighborhoods safer, family friendly places to live, we could use your help, not your capitulation to a gas-soaked dollar. We already have more convenience stores than we need in the area. Convenient for what? Mayor Stodola, Stacy Hurst, Lance Hines, Bruce Cazort, and Gene Fortson, do you have a convenience store in your front yard and backyard? If not, why dont you recruit one if this convenience is so damned worthy? Surely you dont want to deprive your neighbors and yourself of this convenience you are so eager to provide south of I-630. Please share with me how you think yet another gas station is a positive addition to our neighborhood? Unbelievable!
