Pisses me off. I love photography. It runs through my blood and everything I do turns into an opportunity to show the world how I see it. I have the talent, experience and equipment to make more than a living off photography. But EVERY gig ive booked in the past three months has backed out or fallen through. I have heard more than enough horror stories about shitty personal photographers and what a waste of time and money.... and I am sitting here, camera in hand, taking self portraits because no one will hire me out. I am told daily at the studios that I am talented and how great I am at what I do. But that means nothing if I cant do anything with it. People ask me if I photograph families if I do modeling shots... I do it all. And I am great at it. I am dirt cheap, not because I suck, but because I hoped that it would help draw clients. My work is worth hundreds more than I charge but no one sees that. All of this talent is useless when I dont have someone to photograph. The world doesnt know my name. And I am feeling like it never will.
