Pit Bull Pride of Delawares mission is simply to better the lives of as many homeless pit bull type dogs as possible. We are, however, a small 100% volunteer and foster based rescue, and their safety has to be our first priority. While Balboa had a win-win personality with the shelter staff, his temperament was not as easy going with our core team members and they were not comfortable placing him in a home. We are beyond heartbroken to share that we were not able to rescue Balboa. This news is devastating to all parties involved. In the very near future, we will do our best to help another dog in desperate/medical need. Our founder will be in touch with each donor to offer a refund or give the donor the opportunity to put their donation to help with the next medical needs dog we take into our rescue. We hope you understand and respect our decision that we did what we felt was best for our volunteers and foster family. Balboa is still at the shelter.
