...Pittsburgh campus alone, there were reportedly about 600 photography students... Its just a microcosm of the entire higher education bubble. People need to re-evaluate their needs and the practicality of college on a personal level. Part of the value in education in the past was the (near) guarantee of having work in your field. That is no more. I see so many people going into debt for nothing. Im not saying education isnt important, because it is. But just remember no one is forcing a gun to your head to take out a $100,000 loan, and that there are many, many alternatives to expensive schooling. And honestly, if you want to be a photographer, youre better off going to business school than art school.
