Pittsburgh memories! OK, It wasnt Niagara Falls as we originally planned, but we had a great time. We come to W. Va. to visit Daves family regularly, just 25miles from Pittsburgh, but have gone to the City mainly to fly in and fly out. This time we stayed 4 days, had a great room at the Waterfront Marriott, a rental car with a good hill country driver (HHH) and did some fun stuff. My favorite was the country roads and covered bridges day. We noticed many Russian/Greek Orthodox Churches in the area so stopped at one. Dave grew up in the Russian Orthodox tradition where, among other duties, he was an Altar Boy and a sometimes bar tender! They were having a festival with all the ethnic foods of his childhood so we pigged out on cabbage rolls (his favorite - his wife rarely makes them as theyre too labor intensive) had a tour with the Priest who answered many of my questions about the church and the traditions. Went on the Incline rail cars to the top of Mt. Washington for awesome views of the Three Rivers , and in honor of you types who like that football thing, I even took a photo of Three Rivers Stadium! Basically we just played tourist! Now on to visit Daves 98 year old Mom, Anne, in Weirton W. Va.
