Then you encounter so many unknown quantities who have not had one thing to say about any national issue in all their time in the Senate so you dont even know they are there as quiet listeners to every conversation and even quieter collectors of allowee. There is even a Senator LOKPOBIRI HEINEKEN from Bayelsa! Senator Heineken? Never heard of him. And what is with all these names from that region of the country sef? Government, Federal, Director are some choice first and last names from yonder. Now theyve put a Heineken who never says pim in the Senate. Nigerians should visit appropriate websites to read the list of all 109 Senators from time to time. Its a very entertaining exercise. Youll laugh a lot (or cry depending on your mood). You encounter wanted criminals in Britain like Joshua Dariye and he is there as a Senator of the Federal Republic. You race through dozens of ridiculous names punctuated by the occasional credible name. Credible names so few and so inconsequential in the scheme of the overwhelming tragedies that that gathering of corrupt election riggers represent for our country that you cant help thinking that, even with their presence, the aphorism still applies: “Never underestimate the power of stupid people gathered in one room.”
