“Pix11’s Jay Dow takes you to the streets: “Homeless With Homework” On any given night, there are twenty-five thousand homeless families struggling to make it in New York City. When they arent sleeping on the sidewalk, you’ll find those families in the city’s sprawling shelter system. It is not the ideal place to raise a family. But this is where six-year old Tristian, his mother Norma, and his father Wilbert - an unemployed U.S. Army veteran, are just trying to make it. Correspondent Jay Dow takes you on a journey into a life where this is very little peace, sleep, or privacy for a growing mind.
