Planking by Proxy? Loggies? A new art installation? Or just litter? In any case, I see heavy symbolism in the placement of the mattress near both the head of a trail descending into the dark wooded valley, as well as across a sunny field from the base of the lighthouse, as if to say, Rest ye weary traveler, whether ye would take the wilder path to the fleshy decadence of the beach or rise through a spiral to the guiding light in the sky, and soak up the odors and stains of those that came before. Or maybe just what the note says, I dont know.
