Plattsburg High School Daily Announcements Monday, January 12th, 2015 Happy Birthday to Sam DeFord, Annabel Grooms & Tori Hartzell!!! The Rotary Interact is hosting a blood drive this Friday. There will be sign ups for times Wednesday and Thursday during lunch. If anyone missed the meeting or needs any more information about the spring play, please see Mr. Morman. Any senior that is interested in attending the Lindenwood University meeting on financial aid for college should attend a meeting tomorrow in Ms. Ryczeks classroom during 6th hour, as long as your 6th hour teacher permits. The senior picture that was scheduled for today will be rescheduled. Please watch the announcements for the reschedule date. On February 16th there will be a make up game at Summit Christian for Varsity Boys and Girls basketball. It will start at 5:00 pm. Notes from the Counselor/Scholarship Information: •Mizzou Engineering is gearing up for an outreach for this Spring-Summer. There are many great opportunities for students K-12 to learn more about engineering. Here are a few dates: •· February 21st Girl Scout Day · May 2nd Mother & Daughter Engineering Day · April 18th High School Day · July 12-17th Engineering Summer Camp — Week 1 · July 19-24th Engineering Summer Camp — Week 2 Mrs. Taylor goes to the Dominican Republic to volunteer at orphanages and this year some of her Spanish III students are trying to help her raise money for those orphanages. They are selling t-shirts for $15 and there will be a print on the front and the back of the t-shirt. If you have any questions please see Lindsay Stephens or Kasey Wright. Reminders: *Wednesdays are late start and school begins at 9:16 am. Students should not arrive prior to 9:00 am on Wednesdays. *Students driving a vehicle to school need to have a car registration form filled out and a car tag. *If you have not signed up for text caster, our school notification system, you can do so from our school website at ccr3.k12.mo.us. Click on the communications tab on the top of the page, then click on Textcaster and follow the prompts. *Two hour late starts may be utilized on inclement weather days. In the event of an unscheduled late start, you will be notified by usual means such as local television stations, textcaster and the school website. The two hour late start will apply to every week day. Therefore, the starting time at Middle School and High School will be 10:22 a.m. and at Ellis 10:28 a.m. no matter which day the late start occurs, even Wednesday.
