Plattsburg High School Daily Announcements Monday, November 3rd, 2014 Congratulations to Abby Cross and Cecilia Lawrence for qualifying for the state cross country meet this Saturday in Jeff City. The top 15 runners at districts qualify for state, Abby placed 8th and Cecilia placed 12th. They will run at 11:30 am at oak hills golf course in Jefferson City. Plattsburg High School would like to honor our Veterans on November 11th, which is Veterans Day, by inviting them to join us for a complimentary lunch from 11:00-12:00 in the high school cafeteria. Please invite any Veterans who are family members, friends, and/or part of our school community so we can thank them personally for the service they have given to make USA a free and wonderful place to live. Any Veterans planning on attending should RSVP to 816-539-2184. Reminder - Today is the blood drive. Please report to the commons at the time you signed up to donate or to work. The schedules have been emailed to the teachers if you dont remember when you signed up or you can ask in the office. Abby Cross is nominated for athlete of the week on the St. Joseph News Press. Congratulations to the Plattsburg Tigers football team for their win over Lone Jack last Friday. The Tigers will play West Platte this Friday at Home for the District Championship. A+ Logs are due! Happy Birthday to Brooklyn Adam!!! The following students still need to turn in their volleyball uniform to Ms. Mennemeyer: Kortney Rogers and Trynitee Payan. To all football players, football managers, and football cheerleaders: Please turn in the $10 for the sack lunches that were provided during the season for the away games, if you haven’t already done so. Attention Clubs and Organizations: The Plattsburg Light Parade will be on Friday, December 5th and you are invited to participate in having a lighted float in the parade. There will be trophies and cash prizes given to the winners. Full details can be picked up in the office. Yearbook: Time’s running out to buy your yearbook! Yearbook basics are only $50. Pick up an order form at the High School office or Mr. Fosters Room. Don’t wait – yearbook sales end at the semester! Senior ad order forms will be in the office shortly, if you have any questions you can Contact Kim Longwell, or Mr. Foster. All Juniors need to bring $30 for Freshman dues. This is for your prom point policy and were never collected as Freshman. The Junior class took a vote and decided to go ahead and collect this money. This can be paid to Jill in the office and must be paid by Christmas break. Vehicle Parking Permits were handed out. If you did not receive one please stop by the office to make sure your vehicle is registered and to pick up your parking pass. Mrs. Taylor goes to the Dominican Republic every year to volunteer at orphanages and this year some of her Spanish III students are trying to help her raise money for those orphanages. They are selling t-shirts for $15 and the there is a sign up sheet in the office. There will be a print on the front and the back and the design is attached to this email.
