Player a "Second Line" funeral in the National Cemetery this afternoon. The (Catholic) Chaplain read the Epistle and then commented that "it would be inappropriate to read the words of Saint Paul- even here, at a private funeral- less than 24 hours after a vote to cut 40 billion in supplemental nutrition aid for hungry people and not remark on the fundamental cruelty and deeply unChristian nature of such a vote." ...There may yet be hope.
