Player of the fall: Cheng-Tsung Pan Washington senior Cheng-Tsung Pan made a case for quality over quantity, placing in the top 3 twice in as many events and earning the top spot in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings. Pan, who owns a 68.8 stroke average for the Huskies after six competitive rounds, missed the first two events of the fall while winning two gold medals (one individual, one team) for his native Taiwan at the Asian Games. Pans best finish came at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational, where he shot a 6-under 204 and was runner-up to Oregons Thomas Lim. Pan tied for third at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate. Pan fired four rounds out of six under par and two in the 60s. His low round of the season came at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational, where he opened with a 66. Pan went 22-3-1 against top 50 competition. He has the third-toughest schedule in the nation.
