Playing Table Tennis With YaHWeH(Thursday 13 March 2014) I have heard people saying I will pray for my parents, my brother, my sister or boss for him/her to change. Is it possible to pray for someone to change? When praying what will be the motive for that prayer. Can YaHWeH change someone for the benefit of the other? The Bible says•••{3 You ask, and do not receive, because you do not ask sincerely, you ask in order that you may satisfy your lusts.:-) James 4:3HRB}••• When does a prayer become a selfish prayer? I have been in a conundrum where I really wanted someone close to my heart to see the things the way I do without infringing on the right of choice, but the more I tried the more the person drifted away. Everyday I prayed for the change to no avail, was YaHWeH not listening? But His word says•••{ 7 If you remain in Me, and My Words remain in you, whatever you desire you will ask, and it shall happen to you:-)John 15:7HRB}• Here my desire was for peace to prevail through the change of this important person in my life, but alas it was chaotic instead. Was there something wrong with my prayer? Can YaHWeH go against someones will for the benefit of the other? Certainly not (that was my dilemma. Selfish prayer indeed) situational change requires a willing heart of the one prayed for, without it, its useless. My situation was just spiralling out of control as Satan already had a foot hold on the situation. Thus, in most times the demonic spirit of anger, frustration sinks in due to impatience and the dungeon in the abyss is opened and those most powerfull demons held in are led out by ones action. I broke the hedge the sepent bit me. Total confussion and total mayhem ensues. I asked why, why, why? I did not realise I was playing table tennis with YaHWeH and my situation was the ball. I throw it to Him, when He was about to start something on it, I demanded it back to try my own way. When it fails I throw it back to YaHWeH and I took it back, four years past still far from the resolution instead the situation worsened. Its simple, my prayer was for situational change for the other person with no sacrifice, but wanting it to be pain free and smooth sailing forgetting that the battles that we fight are not flesh and blood. Even a pastor at times forget that when situations are too close to home. People have a tendency of ignoring the part were YaHWeH says be still know that I am Elohim. Brethren are you Playing Table Tennis with YaHWeH? Stop it now!. Surrender all to Him. He said I know the thoughts that I have for you the thoughts not of evil.(Jeremiah 29:11) Lets trust YaHWeH in all things, for all reasons, in all seasons for He knows all and He cares.
