Playing it slow and cautious as we make our way back to Montana. Bummed that we had so many delays with the RV break downs during this trip that we had to substantially eliminate ALOT of places we really wanted to visit including many dear friends and an additional longer visit with family in California, Oregon, and Washington (especially wonderful grand children) Well we are grateful that we were able to see them albeit for a short visit at the beginning of our wonderful journey and were also able to see Brother Vinny, Sister Peggy in California and visit with Coralee Berns wonderful family at their castle.had a great time with Frank and Linda Scaldone in Palm Springs. We were blessed to have the friendship of Eddie Wiest and Theresa Wiest and their abundant hospitality at a time when we needed it most! Also got to visit with uncle Bob Cameron and his brother which was totally awesome. We met some new friends along the way while getting our RV fixed and Michael Van Loo I hope you do make it up to our area sometime. Also the gang at Chucks Speed and RV Center you guys Rock! Wish we could have made it back thru California to see Marcy McCandless Taft RobDelani Taft and Sydney so you guys should come visit us or we will catch you next time. We had to eliminate the viewing of half of our properties that we had hoped to visit but the ones that we were able to visit made it well worth the trip. We enjoyed being away during the worst winter Montana has experienced in many years although we felt bad for our friends that we left to endure the cold while we enjoyed perfect shorts and flip flop temperatures all winter.Sorry Rodney Miller, Rick and Claudia Bagley, Kevin and Monique Legg, Nick and the Miller family, and the rest of our friends that we left in the cold.Next time, perhaps you should just go south with us. Now that we are making our way back North Im trying to adjust to the cooling temperatures. We woke up today to a bit of snow on the ground and back in jeans and sweatshirt weather. As we are in between storms it seems for now, we decided to stay plugged into the electric here at our property on Humboldt River Ranch in Lovelock Nevada for today just in case we get stuck driving thru a snowstorm. Dont have chains with us, we are crazy that way. we just drive and dodge the storms as they come. In the meantime, I finally took a stab on getting our income tax papers put together. Its not as easy as being home with all the information readily available but I figured I better do something before time runs out so thats where my entire day has been spent. Just need a couple more bits of information I hope Nick can email me then I have to get it over to our CPA to fix everything I did wrong and try to save our butts on killer taxes this year. Next year should be better with all the write offs we probably will have with all this traveling expenses but then we probably wont need as much write offs next year as we do this year it figures!! Im going to plan next winters trip anyway. Hope Mike still agrees after this great winter adventure!
