Playing with that critical concept this morning of owning my energy. During the Red Tent Revival, Kristen Sweeting Morelli and her guest speakers said something that still strikes me deeply, daily. You are responsible for the energy you bring to a room. When Ive had 4 hours of sleep, PMS is creeping through my womb, and a screeching baby whose pitch would make a velociraptor cringe, I have not been as nice as I could be. Then those words struck my reptile brain. You are responsible for the energy you bring to a room. So I decided to just deal. Made coffee. Had a quarter of a cigarette. Woke up my son and made him smile. THIS is what it looks like when you take responsibility for your energy and words.
