Playoffs are great theater, and incredibly entertaining, but little more than that. My problem is I was hoping for more from this committee. I had hoped the regional biases of the voters would be gone, and the politics of college football could be avoided, the problems that the coaches poll and the AP poll couldnt fix. Are we to believe that its just a coincidence that we have a team from the West, the South, the East and the Upper Midwest and they just happen to be 4 of the marquee teams of college football that will travel well and bring eyeballs to the tv set, and the committee didnt know and didnt think about that? This committee is about Money and TV Ratings. College football is a big business, and in college football this year, anyway, its business as usual. This new system isnt so new after all-Dale Hansen, Unplugged. AMEN! That sums it up better than Ive heard to this point!
