Plea for suggestions!! I had to have my big toe nail removed Thursday afternoon. Doc told me to soak it before bed and then twice a day which I have done. The problem is that the gauze used to cover it right after the removal is still stuck on the wound! I have tried soapy water as instructed and peroxide and even running a stream of water in the tub over it for 15 minutes. I have been able to pull a few strands of the gauze but a nickel sized piece remains....and, of course, all of this hurts like crazy! ANY SUGGESTIONS???
