Please HELP safeguarding our Biker (two-wheelers) friends. Not very unusual to Mumbai roads, a (relatively) high speed road was dug up without re-filling the (huge) pothole adequately. Today, the road (Linking Road, Borivali) has turned into a Death hole (Yet, to claim a life I think). A little drizzle today, and I just witnessed 5 bike accidents in the last 30 minutes. Caught on Camera here, is a grab from my balcony of one such incident. Luckily this biker survived, but not sure whos the next victim. Have called the BMC helpline (1916) and registered a complaint (#0721835484). The rep expected me to know the name of local Nagar Sevak (and ward) to register my complaint. I quickly looked up on the Internet and mentioned the ward (check link below). He mentioned, it will take 2 - 3 days to get this resolved. Whoa!! Thats not acceptable to me, the (both past and potential) victims and their relatives. How can YOU help?? - Please help escalating this!! Need to ensure, this gets done with urgency! - Share this - Tag BMC employees - Dont sensationalise the video, promote the issue instead!! P.S.
