Please Join NEDA and Project HEAL for Eating Disorders Lobby Day in Harrisburg! Our Project HEAL and NEDA volunteer, Emily Rosenberg, has been instrumental in making this happen! Eating Disorders can be life threatening illnesses, yet there is still a lack of awareness about the challenging impacts of these conditions. Help protect Pennsylvanians and fight for better education programs that could lead to early intervention and prevention of eating disorders in the state. Join us for Lobby Day to educate Pennsylvania legislators on why HB1959 and SB1284 are vitally important. register_button About HB1959 and SB1284 Bills HB1959 and SB1284 would require that educational materials on eating disorders be sent home to the parents of public school students. The bills also require that the state map out a plan for school districts to implement school screenings of eating disorders, should they opt-in to doing so.This extremely crucial legislation would lead to earlier detection of eating disorders, which could even save lives! We have been working with PA Representative Santarsiero, PA Senator Leach, and PA Senator Mcilhinney to have this bill introduced, and we need your help to educate additional legislators in Harrisburg and to request their support of the bill.
