We will be exploring future directions within the field of BCI. Our project will provide information for the BCI community and other groups about BCI projects, and BCI research in general. With advanced technological forecasting, we will explore optimized routes of research in different aspects of BCI research. These reports will include immediate future forecasting, with significance in modern hardware, user-demographics, and software analysis. This forecasting will also extend to much longer 5, 10, and 20 year roadmaps to identify obstacles for BCI commercialization and mainstream integration outside of research laboratories. We hope to encourage interaction among different BCI groups with different backgrounds. This research field spans vast disciplines from electrical engineering, design, and the cognitive sciences. CyberFuture will also encourage collaboration across different research projects and across different sectors (such as academic, commercial, medical, and nonprofit)
