Please, Please, PLEASE Share this sweet older kitty! She is 10 years old and after that long, her owner abandons her and she is TERRIFIED! (Wouldnt you be?) Please share! Although we often see terrified dogs shivering in the corner of their kennel cages when brought into shelters, and our hearts break piece by piece knowing how deeply they are emotionally suffering, most of us regard cats as being considerably more stoic. If a picture is worth a thousand words, volunteers at the Rutherford County Animal Shelter in North Carolina show us how deeply our feline friends suffer also: Very scared, stays in cage like this all day.... but lets volunteers pull her out and handle her.... former owner says she is very friendly, just scared. Sweets is a 10-year-old owner surrender; her heart is broken and her spirit split apart. She has been at the shelter since October 16; sitting in the corner in the same position.
