Please Please do not be fooled; unless one has zero $$$, Poor people, just like every other consumer, DO pay taxes. They will pay the same surcharge on whatever utility... the same amount as a middle class household pays in the same district. Sales taxes for everything non edible. Gas Taxes, line after line after line of extra tax, fee, surcharge etc on your Power Bills and telephone bills. Prepared foods will require a tax (In most states) Depending on the •amount• one gets, they will pay taxes on their Social Security. Make NO mistake: IT COSTS =MORE= TO BE POOR.
