Please #RT/Share Re: #MentalHealth #Depression Dear friends, fans and fellow mental health explorers: I have something very special to share with you and I hope you will pass this on. Is every day a battle for you with depression? Do you feel like you are ruining everyone’s life as your life deteriorates? It can be a never ending battle . . . or an adventure. Depression can make it difficult for we who suffer to get out of the house or out of bed for that matter. It’s time now, more than ever to raise as much awareness as humanly possible about depression and related mental health conditions. It’s my honor to introduce a man, a loving husband, father, sportsman and more than courageous and exceptional explorer, Mr John Dennis. A year after his life was thrown into turmoil when depression left him unable to function normally, Mr Dennis takes on a most personal and massively inspiring challenge, a true test, and the ultimate adventure confronting his mental illness. He has pushed himself beyond limitation to inspire others to become resilient as they, as we, fight and push ourselves, inspiring one another to keep the conversation about depression ongoing, pushing ourselves even just a little bit when all else seems hopeless and impossible. It is time now, more than ever, to begin the conversation, to set examples, to share, to communicate and relate with one another about the illness of depression, which may not be able to be explained, per se, as for we who suffer, it is incomprehensible, unlike such physical diseases as cancer. I invite you to watch this 5-minute film about John’s life with depression and what he has decided to about it. Collectively, we ask, as you may or may not advocate for such condition, to please share and pass along John’s most remarkable challenge, the ultimate exploration of self-discovery and proof of unparalleled resilience. Here’s to wishing John the best of luck on his journey. Meanwhile connect with John Dennis on Twitter at @expd2e and again, let’s start talking about mental health, resilience and depression. Mr John Dennis, I commend your unparalleled effort and success. You have taken on an adventure and a cause, a reason, a means of coping as you wage a most personal and heartfelt peaceful war against depression which undoubtedly has, can and will continue to inspire others to resilience. Thank you, friends of mine for commending and appreciating John and his extraordinary cause. Here’s to raising awareness of depression. Let’s start with John journey in this brief mini-documentary: vimeo/108915425 —Jonathan Harnisch
