Please Read: Tonight I attended a meeting at the Hope House. How incredibly humbling. If you don’t know, the Hope house is simply put domestic violence shelter in the AK-Valley. It’s actually much more. I asked, so what do you need, really need right now? The response came fast, Underwear and socks. They have children in shelter that only have one pair of underwear. People donate everything but underwear. Everyone gives girls/womens items but we forget that these mothers have little boys. Sons never leave their Mothers sides. When they are strong enough to leave they usually just take the clothes they are wearing. So while we are all in search of the best price for an ipod or American Girl, pick up a pack or two of underwear. They have Christmas gifts, everyone likes to donate a gift but they need the bare necessities. You can get the items to me or James A. Kunkle has agreed to let the Curran Funeral Home in Apollo be a drop off. I told them I would be bringing them lots of underwear, and I intend to do just that. Thanks for anything you can do to help.
