The Man from Magdelena play told the story of a Mexican migrant who left the safety of his group to take care of a young American boy whose mother was killed in a car accident. The profits went to the Unitarian Universalist congregation of Green Valley/Amados effort at Kiva.org. Today when I visited the site the first ask was from a person from El Salvador. I think that people to people efforts are better than government programs in this case. Patty and Lou wrote/composed a brilliant play and the impact of their work impacts people and their families.
